A Shimmering Mirage
A Shimmering Mirage is an interactable digital archive of my body that has been 3D scanned over the last 7 years since first transitioning as a trans woman. It is a space in exploring the questions on care for representations of bodies even in digital stasis or animated avatars. The levels explore themes contained in nightlife, sex work, and the process of becoming in those spaces. In each level you are asked to collect items and activate the 3D scanned bodies as a dialogue with how we consume bodies both narratively, digitally, and through labor of hyper sexualization. It is an archive of what it means to become through the limitations and expansions of trans bodies in digital spaces that echo physical realities.
